Outragism

OMG, Scott Adams has created a word that so perfectly captures this decade: Outragism.

The current Internet, as exemplified by Twitter, is a perfect system for fostering Outragism. We're told that people only have 140 character attention spans. Not enough to express any nuanced thought, but just right for outrage. Heck, even 140 characters is too long to type anymore, so you can retweet outrage with just a click. Let someone else express it for you.

It's outrageous.

Bonus Idea:

Every social media and news site should simply add an Outrageous button next to the Like button. Maybe call it a Stone button?
